FIFA – 2010 and ‘Paul the Octopus’

It is down to the last 16 now. The best of the teams clash to conquer the coveted FIFA World Cup. One of the clashes we are waiting is the kick-off of the match between Germany and Argentina on 3rd July 2010.

Deigo Maradona’s men would want to continue their winning streak, while the Germans will look to qualify for the next round. Germans drubbed the English to a thumping 4-1 win, while Argentina made it look easy against Mexico by winning 3-1.

Even as the tournament is wide open at this stage, ‘Paul the Octopus’ seems to know it all. With an impeccable record of 80%, Paul had predicted Germany’s win at the European Championships. He was right this time too when he predicted Germany’s win over England.

Came across this interesting piece that I thought was worth sharing.
